step 1: Created my dashboard. In your case, this has already been done by the colleague who is facing this issue:
Here, my view is 'Opportunities closing in Current Fiscal Year'.
Step 2: Edit the dashboard
Ask the colleague to navigate to the dashboard, select the required component and he will see 'Edit component' at the top.
Step 3: Change the view:
Here, i am changing the view to 'close Opportunities'. Do the same and save and close the dashboard.

Since it is a personal dashboard, you will NOT be able to verify the charts and the other components shown unless it has been shared with you.
I would recommedn you to ask your colleague to try out the suggestion I mentioned.

If you are NOT the system admin / equivalent privileges, then there is no way for you to fix someone else'e dashboards.
is the dashboard a personal one or a system dashboard?
that issue is from another employee and i do not have accesss to see that
