We're running RMS 2.0 on Windows 7. I know I need to leave UAC turned off on the stations being used as cash registers. However, on my bookkeeper's computer, I'd like to keep UAC at the default level. (Yes, she and others surf the Internet on this computer.)
Currently, every login to Store Manager gives the UAC popup ("Do you want to allow this program to make changes?") We can live with this, but it would be nice to avoid it. Any ideas?
For extra credit, what is Store Manager trying to write or modify that triggers the UAC warning upon opening?
Thanks in advance,
Steve

Thanks very much, Ed. You even earned extra credit by identifying what is causing the UAC warning!
I read through the solution of creating a scheduled task and may use that, although like so many things, my bookkeeper and I may just deal with the clicking "Yes" at the UAC warning, and get on with life.
Just knowing that the UAC warning is not warning of anything mysterious is a big help.

The Store Manager has com code that is being flagged by UAC.
The only way I know of is to make a scheduled task and then trigger that task from the shortcut instead of the program directly. See the link below for instructions.
