Can't cancel orders on integrated BC/CRM

Our orders automatically sync, but appear to be immediately recreated on both platforms whenever cancelled or deleted. It doesn't matter whether they're deleted on CRM, BC, both (in either order), they're automatically recreated on BC and set to 'submitted' on CRM.

What's the correct procedure for cancelling orders on the platforms when using the integration?

can anyone assist with this? It's a pretty fundamental flaw that renders the integration completely unusable. It's been this way since the integration was released and I am unable to get any info on how to fix it, or what the correct behaviour is.

    Hi Sgtilt

The problem seems to be in the way deletion of sales orders is done in BC that came in from D365 Sales.

To workaround the problem while we work on fixing it is to either:

    1. Disable automatic sales order creation in D365 Connection Setup

    2. Do not delete sales orders in BC that came in from D365 Sales until fix comes in

Not ideal, I know, however we're working on resolving this asap.

Thanks Ivan. Do you know what sort of timescale the dev team are working to? The integration doesn't seem to have updated since it was first released, and there's also no way to sync order notes or PO numbers between the two platforms.

    Hi sgtilt

The thing you mention here is clearly a bug that is being pickup by the team as we speak so I'd expect it to be available in next (November) update and in cumulative update for BC.

Regarding PO numbers, that was released in Fall 18 (October) release of Business Central. We pick up the Name of Sales Order in D365 Sales and copy this information to External Doc number when Sales Order integration is enabled. See details here:

If you have other suggestions I'd recommend searching/recording those on ideas site:

Hi, was there a fix for this? We've come into Business Central this morning and there are hundreds of Cancelled Sales Orders from Dynamics CRM appearing in the '365 Dynamics Sales Orders' view in BC.

Hi Ivan. I was wondering if the integration had been fixed? Is there any documentation available?

    thanks
