why microsoft choosen AL code instead of c#?
what special with AL code ?
what advantage AL code has over CAL code?
Why CAL code is procedural language?
whats the advantage of Procedural language?
Can you imagine if they will move all their codebase to C# directly the impact on the partner echosystem? :) The internal business language is preserved and it's the right decision for now.
AL is still the same as C/AL with some more features. AL (and C/AL) are a business logic language, rapid to develop, abstracted from the low level problems on managing a database and so on.

So only because of the existing code base CAL still exists!!! am i right here?? or CAL code has any advantage over object oriented language?
C/AL (and AL) code is ERP oriented and it's the internal business language born with Navision at the origin. It guarantees an easy way to handle the ERP objects and the ERP business logic, you don't have to think about queries, cursors and so on. Microsoft has never changed the application language and there are no plans for that. For the future we'll see :)
