Wrong Result from SOAP WebService

Hi,
we are absolutely newbies at these community, but we hope we can get an answer for our problem.

Dynamics 365 Business Central (local installation).

We have a problem requesting data by certain "Webservices" from NAV.

By using SOAP WebService from Navision we receive data from NAV to work with in our WebShop.
Using "office.XXXX.de:7047/.../services, credentials and WebServiceName
we reveive multiple data like article data, variants data, prices or stock availability info.
And it is working really fast and fine.

But now, we had to implement a new feature in our WebShop and we need some additional data from NAV.
So we must access these data by different WebServices.

We are trying to use WebService "ItemSubstitutionEntry (PageID 5716)" and "ItemAccessory (PageID 5041162)
to receive data for ItemSubstitution or ItemAccessory.
E.g. ItemNo 503001 is one of the substitution article stored for ItemNo 5010000.
And we thought, requesting the WebService with ItemNo 501000, returns the result of stored SubstitutionItems

But when trying to access these data by the WebService, we can only start the request with "ReadMultiple",
(Wizdler) and not by "Read" for one certain ItemNo".
And the result is, that the Webservice shows ALL Substitutions of complete Database and not showing
only data for requested ItemNo, and even from result, we cannot detect requested ItemNo (e.g 501000).

How can we access ItemSubstitutionData only for one requested ItemNo?

Hope someone can help us,
Best regards, Martin.

    Maybe I’m being too simple with the suggestion but wouldn’t passing parameters to filter make sense here. Example shown: docs.microsoft.com/.../readmultiple-operation

    Dear Josh, thanks for your answer.

    To request the WebService by Filter is not the problem:

    e.g. Request by PHP:

    $params = array ( 'filter' => array( array ( 'Field' => 'Type','Criteria'      => 'Item' ),), 'setSize' => 0);

    $result = $service->ReadMultiple($params)

    The result is ALL Items with "Type" "Item", it is not possible to start the request by

    asking "Show AccessoryItems for Item_No"....

    501000 is the ItemNo.

    503001 is the AccessoryItemNo for 501000 (assigned by Page ItemAccessory 5041162)

    503002 is another AccessoryItemNo for 501000 (assigned by Page ItemAccessory 5041162)

    We want to request "Show us  all AccessoryItems for ItemNo 501000"

    Request with "Item_No = 501000" is invalid,

    Request with "No=501000" no result, because 501000 is the ItemNo not the AccessoryItemNo.

    What is our fault?

    What could we try to get the right result?
