Hi,
Finally I got an idea, should set those cost field in form NeededPermission to 'Correct'.
Default Warehouse Clerk's right is 'create'. So it won't show those cost field. Those Cost Accountant and Clerk, set menuitem(inventtransitemidx, inventonhand) to 'Correct'.

Hi André,
After set NeededPermission to 'Manual', it works. But how can I grant the right to Costing Manager? Would you show the screen.
Thanks,
Tim
Hi, there,
We encounter the same issue here, after run through all the comment here, I understand if I need to hide the cost, Unit Price in "Inventory Transactions" form, you need to -
First, Set Override Permission on specific roles.
Second, Set "NeededPermission" On the Form or something similar. (which will affect all users)
But after all, I do want to ask, why MS design an Warehouse Manager/clerk need to know all the cost info of his/her goods, even there might be some special cases, I admin. So there is no easier way to do it?
Thanks
Hi,
Can you explain in detail how it is working with the neededpermission set to manual and for which role the behavior is incorrect? I can't follow your comments.
Can you also share a screen shot of the permission where you assigned the full control?
thank's for yr time
it's not working .. im changing property to manual then give full control to another role the cost value doesn't visible in another role
i give role full control using (security enrty point permission )
sorry for my english
Hi,
This field is a display method with a calculated value. This cannot be overriden using the Override permissions on the role.
As mentioned in an earlier reply from Rachit, you can change the property NeededPermission on the form control to 'Manual'. Then no person (except for the system admin) can see this control unless you add this control on a role permission (or privilege).
thank's
Can you also share a screenshot of the result or which fields are not hidden? The settings in your override permissions looks correct.
thank's but same problem
Hi,
There was a similar question in the past. Have a look at this thread as well: community.dynamics.com/.../300903.aspx.
Rachits first reply was mentioning override of the permissions. This should do the job. A more detailed description is provided in my answer on the other thread.
