Distirbuting Campaign Activity

Hi everyone,

we have experienced some trouble distributing campaigh activity (email) to marketing list members in CRM 2016 SP2.

We have created marketing list of contacts, and tried to distribute Email message (with Email Template) to all of them through Campaign, creating Campaign Activity.

After Campaign Activity was distributed, we have noticed that Emails were created and sent to Contact, who's owner is current user (who created an Campaign, and distributed Campaign Activity), all other Contacts from Marketing List were ignored. We've checked 'Allow Bulk-Email' flags, and all are set to 'Allow'.

Marketing List was created by the same user, who distributes a Campaign Activity, through Email Template was Individual, and not Organization Template (created by the same user).

Can somebody explain why this could happen?

    Good catch.   If it is a bug you should call Microsoft PSS and open a ticket.  If u have Crm online that may (should)  be free.  If it is a confirmed  bug there is noncost regardless.  At keast u now have an official bug logged with MSft pss and it should now be discoverable

    BTW, how did you disteibute the campaign activities.  I cannot find that menu option.  Could that be a rights/permissions issue.  I dont see the menu option in the campaign or the  campaign activities view.

    Seems that we have a bug here. Tried the same in our test environment with my user who has System Administrator rights.

    I've created Marketing List with 3 Contacts: I'm the owner only of 2 of them. Than I tried to distribute email activity, and choose in Email Messages Owner screen "The owners of the records in the target marketing lists"  value - got the same result with only 2 emails created. It does not happen, if I choose "Assign To Me" option.

    which privileges and entities should I check?

    All Activity privileges are on Business Unit level, and Contact privileges are in Organization level.

    Please check the privileges of the Security Roles the user has been added to.
