HOW TO OR WHERE CAN I GET A PATCH

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi Experts,

Good day!

Can anyone help me to get a patch to edit the format of Service Order?

By the way, we don't have support that's why I need to learn it from myself :)

Thanks in advance.

Beth

This is only available in latest version of NAV 2015 onward. You would not get such option in your old version.

You need to build the report in NAV Classic environment. You can go to standard report (Service Order) and modify as per your need.

Thanks for reply but this is so confusing. We are using an old version of NAV V3.0.

@Alexander Ermakov - I've read the url and it's really interesting can I also use report builder in an old version of NAV.

    Thanks very much.

There is lot of material on how to edit/create report's layout, e.g. www.archerpoint.com/.../dynamics-nav-2015-create-reports-word-and-party-rock-star

to change nav objects you need a developer license. if you have one its needed that you upload it to the nav database in the development environment. after that restart nav service. then you can edit nav objects like page sales order or the underlying table sales header. you could also work together with a nav partner or a nav freelancer in your region.
