I have an issue where a user desired to create a new Company in Dynamics GP 10.0 They were able to open the GP Utilities window and launch successfully. Once they click "next" the utilities windows runs the verification and it returns with a successful message saying all was verified.

When they click next, the top of the window says "Update these company's" but the rest of the window is blank with no data only a next button. We aren't able to click the next button, the application just freezes and we have to perform a task manager exit.

Im uncertain how to trouble shoot this in GP as they are able to login to GP with no problem and the application is working fine. has anyone else ever experienced this?

I had am awesome coworker help me with this one.

1.) I needed to check the product version between the versions of and verify everything was ok

2.) In inspecting this in the db_update table, we discovered that the client had tried to create a company before hand but had failed to mention it to us.

3.) we then ran the script from KB863236 (Clear Companies) to delete the non existing company.

4.) This resolved the issue and is allowing the user create a new company.
