Separate website for Events that are unrelated

Hi

  1. It happens a couple of times per year that we will have 2-4 events that are occuring within a similar timeframe but that are for totally different audiences. As such, we do not want the people that we invite to see the other events because they are always private-invitation only events.  How can we set this up with Dynamics marketing since there is a home button that shows all the events - exactly what we want to avoid. Is there a way to hide that home button?
  2. Also since these events are usually free for the people we invite, we use passes with no sessions or tracks, is there any way to hide the sessions and session track tabs or to even personalize these headings (because frankly the French translation is bad)?
  3. Lastly is there any way to add text and description such as a program or other flavor info on the event website?  Would that be possible by using a marketing page instead of a website page? Would it still work with the registration tracking?

This is really basic stuff for event sites and it would be disappointing to not have these possibilities with Dynamics for marketing.

Regards

    HI

For points 1 & 2 its possible (we had to do this recently) but unfortunately you need to do this through the portal angular code, its not as simple as enable or disable etc

    Hey hockeymom,

    1. Please use the Angular website modification option and you can customize the entire website to your liking. Example here (for D365 portal hosted, but relevant to self hosted as well - docs.microsoft.com/.../manually-overwriting-sample-website)

    2. Please update your D365 for Marketing application to the latest version  (and update your event website, as noted in the link in point 1) - with that you'll see that if there are no live sessions/tracks/speakers etc, those sections simply don't show up on the website.

    3. On the event in dynamics, on the "Additional Information" tab, you can put in the event description for it to show up on the website.

We are bringing more updates in upcoming releases to make this functionality easier to use. And thanks for the translation tip, we'll look into it.

    Regards,

    Shravan
