Financial Area Page not display area tiles for one user

Posted on by 5

We have a user who cannot display all of the area tiles on the Financial Area Page.Instead, there are Blue arrows on the Left and right hand side of the area page. All areas are checked on the financial Page.

The Purchasing and Sales Pages work fine. I've tried resetting the users Home Page role. See screenshot

Interesting.  I don't think I have ever seen that.  Out of curiosity, are you able to use the left arrow you highlighted in your original screenshot to browse through all the panes they have access to?  (If not, when you click Customize this page from the Financial page, are all the area pages marked?)

Is this a problem that just occurred or is it a new user?  I've had issues from time to time with new users where I need to compare the values of a similiar "working" user and the new one to add missing data rows.  Derek Albaugh (MS Tech Support) has a good list of tablles to check mentioned in this older Community post:  (+) Missing tool bar menu items for new users - Microsoft Dynamics GP Forum Community Forum

[I think there is a newer post about this issue but I wasn't able to quickly find it when searching this morning.  Hopefully someone else can chime in with more troubleshooting tips.]

Their setting is 2 columns. We see 2 columns everywhere but not in the financial area tile.

When you click the Customize this page hyperlink from the Home panel, how many columns does the user have selected?  (I'm thinking the user has it set to one.)
