What's the best way to add supplemental information to legal entities, main accounts

I have some reporting requirements that require me to group legal entities and also provide aliases etc. I could have similar requirements potentially for other datasets too.

While these are reporting needs, I always prefer for master data elements to come out of a system and would therefore like this to be maintained in D365. I'm new to D365 but generally thought that D365 was pretty flexible, and we could do these kinds of things fairly easily.

Can anyone let me know if there is functionality already available to do this or can D365 be extended reasonably easily to capture details like this or is this not recommended?

Hi VickyD, There is an option to export D365 F&O data to BYOD or Azure Data Lake and use the data in reporting tools like Power BI. Many customers are using it as its relatively easier to create customized reports and group legal entities data in Power BI.

Yes, we are leveraging the Azure Data Lake option however I was hoping maintaining supplemental master data was something we could do within D365 and then sync it with Azure Data Lake.

The idea is that when say a new Legal Entity is added the supplemental data will also be updated in the same place/system as opposed to maintaining in 2 different places.
