Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Plan IUR for Partners - CDS capacity

Hello,

I am confused on the CDS (Common Data Services) capacity for this license. I am unable to actually install any of the applications due to a capacity error in Power Admin. My default is 1GB, so I don't really have any wiggle room to delete anything.

Does this license add any additional capacity? I ask because the Dynamics 365 licensing guide states:

"Capacity add-ons are available for purchase with paid licenses. Unpaid licenses (e.g., demo/dev or Internal Use Rights (IUR)) don’t qualify as a valid base offer."

If you can't add capacity, how does one use this? Is it suppose to add some additional capacity automatically?

Thank you in advance,

RZ

I tried a few more things and made this work. Use the old instance configuration tool not the new power admin as it does not provision things correctly.

    Hi,

Capacity add-ons can be purchased only with paid subscriptions of Dynamics and so unluckily it is not possible to purchase Additional Capacity with the IUR plan. If you purchase a Full paid subscription, then you have the option to purchase add-ons.

If the IUR plan has provided default storage to the tenant, your instances can use that. To view the Capacity entitlements in the Power Platform admin center (admin.dynamics.com) -->Go to Analytics (on the left hand side)--> Capacity.

If the tenant has received instances from this plan which are not configured, you can view them in the Dynamics 365 admin center. Go to the Power Platform admin center -->Admin centers (on the left hand side) -->Dynamics 365.

In case you have used up the storage that the tenant is entitled to, you can refer this article to free up storage : https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/free-storage-space

    Regards,

    Shaina
