Changing an Extender field from numerical to Calculated

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

In an attempt to make my life easier, I changed an extender window attached to my inventory items from a numerical field to a calculated field and the existing data did not change.   I have been told that the existing data cannot be automatically updated based upon the calculations as a change like this would not roll down.  SO if that is the case, then I assume I would have to change the field type back to numerical so that I can change the data.

I guess I need to have everything put back to numerical, but I am hoping that someone can help me find an easier answer.

Thanks

    Hi Andy,

You are right that changing the number to a calculated field will not update previously entered data. You could look at eOnes Enterprise Extender as it supports scripting.
