Hello Community,
I want to to know if there is a way to set an expiration date for extensions in business centra deployed by uploading the app file (PTE Scope).
So that the customer will be asked to enter a key to unable the extension after every delay expiration.
Thank you for your answer .
but i think that the Azure Walt Key is only available for AppSource extensions.
So there can be either two ways or more can be, 1st is you can use Azure Walt key scenario so that you generate a key and use that key in you extension and install to the customer environment and check every time with this key if it not expired or if you are running you own BC store somewhere the key and date in your environment and generate a API and use that API with customer's extension.
Those method generally are used when we install or publish our app into the market place in microsoft.
the problem is that if i want to generate a different key every time the delay expires i should have access to the extension but in this case if i gave the app file to the customer how could i provide this key again?
Interesting question, but not sure if we have such functionality available, but you can write your custom code, bind that code with the particular date you want and raise an error if that date achieve, So that it will not allow use to do any task unless you change that code, or to make it simple just provide any boolean field on any setup page to on and off your changes. It just an idea.
