Hi All,
I've a quick question. I'm relatively new to Dynamics and went to delete an excel template, but I foolishly did this without deactivating it. As a result when I go to my entity view and look at the ribbon and select Excel Templates I can still see the template listed.
Is there a way to remove this from the excel templates dropdown?
Many Thanks
Hi Moin,
I found it in the Personal Document Template entity as you suggested and after deactivating it and then deleting it (which I wanted to do) everything looks fine now.
Thank you for you help its much appreciated.
In Advance find search for Personal Document Template entity and then try to find it
If it exists then delete it
then try to logout and login again in crm
Hi Moin,
Thank you for responding. I'm not finding the template in there. Originally I think it was imported into the instance using the xrmtoolkit document manager. I suspect when I deleted it rather than deactivating it, its somehow left this remanent behind in the excel template dropdown.
Hi!
The build in templates are stored as Document Template records but when you create one yourself, they're created as Personal Document Templates. If you do an advanced find on that entity, you'll see all your personal templates.
Hope this helps! I'd appreciate if you'd mark this as Answering your question.
