Run GP2010 Utilities with Add-In Initialization Error ( Win 7 machine)

I have install the GP2010 in Win7 machine . When run the GP Utilities , upon clicking $Lauch Microsoft Dynamics GP $ button , the error prompt . $ Add-In Initialization Error $ , the details is $ Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.Rtc.dll: Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {8885370D-B33E-44B7-875D-28E403CF9270}failed due to the following error:800700c1.

I can install and run the GP2010 in XP machine without error .

Any idea on this ?

To add a little to Jonathan's comment - make sure Communicator is configured. We had this same issue on several Win7 boxes with Communicator installed but not configured. Once Communicator was configured the error went away and users could access GP again. If users are not going to use Communicator uninstall it.

Hi Yolanda,

This error is often due to Communicator either not being installed or is damaged. If you are not using Communicator please uninstall it or if you are run a repair. If running a repair on it does not resolve the issue I would uninstall/reinstall it.
