How come the blocked is being grey out when I'm already in Edit mode?

Hi Community,

I would like to ask how come the blocked is being grey out when I'm already in Edit mode?

Is it because there are still items in that location? If so, how can I see what item is in that location?

Thank you !

Yes, if the "Blocked" field is grayed out even in Edit mode, it could be due to restrictions based on existing inventory in that location. Business Central prevents blocking a location that still has items to avoid operational issues.

    Hello,

In Microsoft Dynamics NAV, the "Blocked" Boolean field on the Item card can be used to prevent items from being used in sales or purchase transactions. If this field is inactive or not functioning as expected, it could be due to several reasons:

    1. Permissions: Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to modify the "Blocked" field. Sometimes, user roles and permissions can restrict access to certain fields.

    2. Customization: The field might have been customized or modified in your NAV environment. Customizations can sometimes affect the default behavior of fields.

    3. Page Design: The field might be hidden or not included in the page design. You can check the page design to ensure the field is visible and editable.

    4. Data Issues: There might be data integrity issues or specific conditions that prevent the field from being active.

May this can help : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/inventory-how-block-items
