Dynamics 365 Read Logs Storage

Good afternoon,
 
We have been looking at enabling Read Logs at an environment level and we can see that they go into Defenders Audit Logs. I just have a couple of questions I hoped someone would be able to help with:
 
1. Do read logs use Dynamics Dataverse Log Capacity?
2. If not, where are they stored?
3. If they are stored elsewhere, is there an additional cost for this storage?
