Hi!

New to Dynamics, just started up a full 365 Business Financials instance ( not trial ) for testing and suitabilty purposes with the goal of transitioning across from Netsuite.

Question. I'm not seeing how you can customize forms and cards in this version. Hoping i'm overlooking something simple here.

we can use choose column option by right clicking in list pages. if this does not answer please provide more details

Hi Mohana,

I think that's a feature of Nav, but unless i'm missing something doesnt appear to be available in the new Dynamics 365 Business Financials. I dont see anyway to do that. ( i'm in as the Business Manager role "

can you show us a screenshot where you are facing issue. I can see choose column option. make sure that it wont work on card pages..

Hi Mohana,

Keep in mind this is the new Business Financials app and not the Enterprise Dynamics. See captures below - customer card and where the card is. I've talked to to respectable Dynamics integrator and both have made mention that the version i'm looking at is crippled from the get go.

yes, we are on same page, financials.

as I mentioned above, choose columns wont work in card pages.

it will work in list pages, find below image

Hi!

That only lets me select pre-canned offerings. It doesnt allow me to create my own custom fields. I have to create many custom fields for both the body of the transaction as well as the column area of the transaction. Right now the MS idea seems to be that you can have any flavour of ice cream at the Baskin Robbins as long as it's Vanilla.

yes, you are right.

we cannot do any customization directly as Onpremise version.

we need to use Extension which is published by partners and Microsoft.

or develop and upload our own extension.

Thanks for your help Mohana,

Sadly, this product is destined to have the same success as the Edsel. Completely not suitable for the SMB market beyond a home user. Truly disappointed - i guess i become not only the first Canadian user to buy the product.. but also the first Canadian user to cancel.
