Purchase agenda

Posted on by 45
Hi all,

We have certain suppliers which we don't send purchase orders everyday but only 1 or 2 times a week. At this moment we're using the Lead time calculation to cover the days between these moments.

Is there any other function in Business Central to cover these days and still be able to use the CTP calculation right on our Sales orders?

    @Ben,

    When I use the base calendar function on Vendors this doesn't give me the expected result.

    If I give a base calendar to a vendor an let's say Monday. Then CTP on the Sales order will calculate that the vendor is only open on Monday, so it will calculate in weeks instead of days.

    How would you arrange this?

    Lead Time is used to cover the time from when you place the order to when the product arrives.  I do not think you should use it for what you've described.

    You should look into setting up a calendar for your Vendor, which will add some control to when you and the vendor interact for the system calculations.  You should test this in your Sandbox first before making any changes in your production environment.

    Your partner can provide you more detail on how this might help your CTP calculations.

    Best Regards,
