Adding the Accounts Button to the Vendor Inquiry Window

IT wants to remove access to the Vendor maint window for some employees and give then just the inquiry window. however, there is no way to access the vendor accounts from there,. I see the Accounts Button Item in modifier. Is it possible to simply add it to the Inquiry window? I cannot seem to figure out how.

I realize that this would take them to the Vendor account maint window however I am thinking it may be possible to lock that down so they cannot make changes. If not, since there does not appear to be a vendor account lookup window, we will just have to take our chances.

Am I going about this the best way?

Thanks!

You can use VBA or Dexterity customization to achieve this. If you have any queries regarding the customization, feel free to ask me.

It is possible. With VBA or .Net Code can display Vendor Accounts.

    NOLA,

You mean you want to restrict some employe to just SEE vendor information and it's accounts too, but in Vendor Inquiry there is no option for showing accounts information for vendor.

In this case you need customization, where user can not edit any vendor account information and could also not leads to Maintenance windows.

Or if you have a smartlist builder then you can create smart list showing all vendor info with their accounts.

Why do the users need to see the Accounts from the Inquiry window?
