Window Fields are Read Only in DAG'd MEM Form

I am trying to build a .NET add-in that interacts with forms in Multi Entity Management - some are further modified, some are not. In this example I am attempting to work with a local field on a MEM window (standard, not changed by Modifier) and I am receiving an error stating the local field is Read Only.

Is there something I am doing incorrectly?

EDIT : I have tried coding for several other fields and they all give the same read only error.
