Good day,
The version I am working with is SL 7.0 there are a number of transactions annually occurring in the GL with date of 01-01-1900. There are no GL transactions to support summarized AcctHist period activity for these transactions. How do I fix or delete these transactions?
It appears the system is generating these transactions to specific accounts causing the trial balance not to balance. I could be incorrect. How to correct?

When you print preview the report, you can export the preveiw to excel where you can see the duplicated data , I think the button for that should be on the upper left..hover over the icons for "export report" (not remembering these days what it looks like in version 7)

I did a little brainstorming exercise on my own to understand what those entries related to. After a through thought and investigation those transactions are the budgeted amount uploaded into the system. The company created two ledger ID an these were included into the reports prior to my assignment on this project. I have excluded these from the trial balance report and detailed general ledger report.
And it worked, forgive me as there is no support for the system where I work and I am new to Microsoft SL.
The trail balance did not balance so I am working on this at the moment.
Is there an easy way to extract the detail general ledger highlighting the double entry for each transaction?

I asked a financial specialist. Note that version 7 is no longer supported, I did a quick check for a bug in that version and I don't find anything that would "set the date to null" while entering a transaction.
You had an earlier post that sounded like someone had "deleted" detail, I don't know enough about the process to know if it will set any tran date to null...
It sounds like you are saying there are gl transactions being created that are not or have not updated account history. The only information provided was the date of these transactions is blank (1900/01/01). We would need more information than that. Is there a crtd_prog, lupd_prog, (there is also a crtd_datetime and lupd_date time) or a batnbr? Maybe a module or journal type?
If they didn’t update the accthist balances, and there is apparently no problem with the accthist balances, I would see no harm in deleting these transactions, but I would want to know a little bit more about them. Where they came from. When they were created. What module or process created them. Etc.
