Hello,
We are moving to D365 finance and operation, and if we need to do customization to business logics/processes, how do we do it? Does it have to be done using X++ or are there other options that is easier to manage and maintain? Sorry, I am new to D365 world.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Hello Joseph,
The basic development and customization in D365FO are done using X++. However, there are other tools that allow you to manage some business logic and processes : PowerApps, Azure logics.
Here is a learning path for you.

Ok Thanks!
I have additional questions. If we go with power apps or azure logics, do we still need to know X++? What are the advantages and disadvantages of using X++, Powerapps and Azure logics?
Thanks a lot!
Joseph
Working with D365FO, knowing X++ is a MUST. At least have an intermediate knowledge of the language. You should be able to create fields, forms, tables, data entities and so. In fact, working with Powerapps and Azure logics require data entities which you will need to build using X++.
Thanks a lot Komi!
