I have a question regarding the standard price list functionality in BC.

Is it possible to combine (or cumulate) the channel discount and the customer-specific discount associated with that channel?

For example, the channel has a 10% discount, and the custumer with the same channel has a personalized 5% discount.

Would the system apply a total discount of 15% in this case, or does it only consider one of the two discounts?

Hello,

In Business Central, discounts from different sources like channel (customer price group) and customer-specific setups are not automatically combined; the system typically applies only one discount, usually the most specific or highest one based on configuration.

To achieve a cumulative discount (e.g., 10% channel + 5% customer = 15%), you'd need to implement custom logic, use campaign pricing, or manually calculate and apply the combined discount.

Hello,

In Business Central, discounts don’t add up. The system applies only the best (most favorable) discount from all valid price lists, not both the channel and customer discounts together. Combining them would require a customization.

There's only one discount; you can test it briefly.
If you need to combine discounts, only customization can do that.

Alternatively, you could submit this idea to Microsoft.

In Business Central, the standard Price List functionality does not combine discounts. Customize the pricing logic through an AL extension.

Hi,

Business Central’s standard price list functionality does not combine discounts automatically. To achieve cumulative discounts (e.g., 10% + 5%), you would need either:

> A special price list that includes the combined discount for that customer and channel, or
> A customization using the price calculation API/events.

By default, Business Central does not support additive discounts across multiple price list levels.
