Hi,
I work in a support capacity for D365FO and our users vary greatly in their experience of cloud based systems, point & click systems etc - their primary jobs are engineers and so on.
So, the issue we have is that screens that are inconsistent in "tab" pages etc. For some support issues or doing remote training etc, we are finding it very difficult to walk a user through steps... could be nerves etc but either way, it's a drain on time.
I was wondering if anyone had done any personalisations to "colour code" certain things like scroll bars ... "Use the big red scroll bar on the right" may be a better visual cue than "Scroll bar on the right... no your other right"
Same with some of the pages where overview and lines etc are not particularly "stand out" - they just look like floating text and again, it would be nicer for the UI if the intuitive steps "stood out"
Regards,
Stephen
Hi Stephen,
In addition to the reply from Mohit, there is no option to personalize the color of some of the controls. Even with development this is not possible like you suggest. I wonder if your remarks are valid for just a few forms for these users or all application areas. In general, it would require for some users to get familiar with the user interface and navigation. If you are talking about a few forms, you might consider creating specific Power Apps for these users, using the F&O data. Note that this might require additional licenses, based on their current expected license in F&O.
Hi Stephen, You can do personalizations to some extent but I think here UI training to users is required to highlight what is Scrollbar, Header, Lines & Line Details section, Lookup, Action Pane, Navigation Pane etc.
From user perspective, they might not understand these terminologies which will take more time in support issues.
