Hi all,
I'm currently customising a Dynamics 365 instance (Version 1710 (9.1.0.12935) online) and was attempting to use the setActiveProcess method to programatically switch between two Business Process Flows - it doesn't seem to be working for me, and this forum post seems to say that this is a known issue.
I couldn't find any other reference to this, so can I get confirmation that this is being fixed (or that I'm possibly doing something wrong)? And does anyone have any alternative method to switching BPFs on change of a field?
Thanks a million.
Kind regards,
Ciara Lynch
Hi Henry,
It appears that my issue is slightly different, as the workaround doesn't seem to change the BPF. It doesn't return any errors either. I'll create a service request as this may be an issue with the instance of Dynamics.
Thank you for your reply.
Kind regards,
Ciara
Hello Ciara,
In the post you are referencing the setActiveProcess method didn't work because the record was in a creation state (it hadn't yet been saved).
Is that the case also for you?
As far as I am aware, only a workaround was provided, not a fix.
If your record already exists when you try to change BPF, then the Client API setActiveProces should work.
If you are experience issues with it, I also suggest that you reach out to support https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/support
