Our auditors just finished year 2010 audit. I have been tried to close financial year end from accounting side, but I could not close it. The error message states batch or quick JE has not been posted. But I have checked A/R, A/P, and Financial, there is no un-posted transaction. Please help for this issue. Thanks

The unposted transaction message just means there is an unposted trx, not necessarily for the year you are trying to close. Like Richard suggested, check the SY00500 table. No matter, the year should close just fine regardless of the message.

I have received this message before in closing some of our companies but it was a warning in my case, not an error. The warning had an option to "Continue Anyway?". I could close the year end with no problems. Sometimes a user would create an empty batch for future use. As long as the batch did not have entries for the past year that was being closed it did not present any trouble.
If you look in the Posting Definition table SY00500 in your company database, do you see any stuck batches in there? If they are there but the batches are empty you can delete those records. If everyone is out of GP the Sy00800 table in the DYNAMICS database should be empty. If it is not when everyone is out, delete any records you find in there as well.
