Job within works order deleted while active

Posted on by Microsoft Employee
An employee was active working on a job (active works order) and somehow someone else within the company managed to delete the job while that worker was still clocked onto the job. Now the works order cannot be ended as it is still avtive against a user, but the user cannot clock of this job as the job was deleted. The works order continued to accumulate hours until eventually we had to request help from a third party to stop the job and recalculate the hours allocated. But the issue remains that the worker cannot clock off the job which will then allow the WO to be ended. How can we clock a user off of a deleted job? Thank you

We have absolutely no idea how this happened. It is the only instance of this for the company since going live early 2017.

We didn't even know this was possible.

We raised an incident in regards to this with a 3rd party developer that support us with AX however that ticket was initially raised in July 2017 and we are yet to receive a resolution.

Have you any advise on how the data can be manipulated for this issue to be resolved?

Thank you for getting back to me.
