License Object Ranges

Hello Guys,

After some time. 

We are operating in a small level and our company is planing to develop few add-on modules for Dynamics NAV 2015 version. We are not planning to sell these objects in the Pinpoint yet.

Our aim is to have them develop separately and when a customer request add those objects and allow them to use those modules. 

In order to do that we want to have separate object ranges allocated to our modules. Is there a way to do this without paying to Microsoft for add-on registration?

    So, you have to do a couple of things: first include the cost of the objects needed in your offer, and secondly (and maybe more important) pray for that the object range is available :-))

    As Miguel mentioned you have to use custom object range but there couple of drawbacks one is there is no guarantee that the range is not used by other and if you want to deploy to customer, the purchased the custom object range may not have assigned that object number so they have to change license again to include that object numbers.

    No. You can use a high range (for example 99.000), because usually the customers assign the objects from 50.000. Then, when you add the objects to your customers, you should assign your range.

    Of course, you won't have any guarantee that the range is not in use.
