Restoring a DB from LIVE to TEST will not update the views

When a LIVE database backup is restored to a TEST company on same SERVER, it looks like the views will still point to the production database. Is that a normal & expected behavior ?

it is also extremely important that you run the "Create TEST Company" SQL script from Microsoft when restoring a LIVE backup over a TEST company DB.. there are references in tables as part of the company DB that could cause errors as well. And depending on which modules you use, there might be more scripts to run...

Hi Richard,

Thanks for your help. Yes, it is a custom view and yes the db names is somehow embedded. I was able to edit and save it.

Are these custom views? It sounds like these view have the database names embedded in them. You will need to go into SSMS and remove the database names.
