How to set up currency exchange rate to get rid of error:Do you want to update exchange rate? when posting from api

I fiddled with the currency exchange rate where I set up my currency as Kenya Shillings.I haven't enabled exchange rate service and have tried to make it resemble as closely as I can to Cronus.Now when I try to post a sales invoice for today after I fiddled with it.It goes through no problem but I cant seem to get it to work for invoices dated prior to today. The documentation is pretty vague as about this and this is only an issue I face when I post via the API.

    During my research I found out that I should set up my LCY on the general ledger set up only and not add it to the currencies list as it may cause Dynamics to have strange issues.Now this may be true but am buffled as on the same tenant I has another company set up with LCY and currency set to the same KSH and an exchange rate of 1 and relational exchange rate of 1. I even have the exchange rate service enabled in both. So I may have made a mistake but am not sure it directly impacts my problem.

    I got rid of the currency field in my customers field and was successfully able to continue posting sales invoices for older periods  without running into the callback issue.
