Business Central upgrade to Finance Operation

Hi,

Need your expert opinion on this.

We have two separate distribution company to purchase D365  Business Central and we have one manufacturing company that are running on AX 2012 R2 that will upgrade next year to D365 F&O.

My question is if we buy Business Central and create two companies for them, then later upgrade the system to F&O and create another company for our manufacturing company. Is this possible?

We can't purchase directly the F&O because the total number of full user is not more than 10.

    Do you mean upgrade from BC to F&O?

    BC cannot support upgrading to F&O.

    You can upgrade from AX to F&O and then create company for manufacturing company.

    BC and F&O are different products, you can't upgrade from BC to F&O.

    You can purchase BC, use it for some time, and later replace it with F&O but there's no upgrade path for your data or customizations.

    Hi JazZ0003,

    Like mentioned above, these are different products. F&O has a lot more features and do require more and possible different setup. For this reason it is comparing moving from any other ERP to F&O. You can use data management features to import master data and opening balances. If you are considering using BC temporary, I would suggest to directly go to F&O as you will then have to learn and implement only one application.
