Matrix Dimensions Show in Strange Order When Adding to a Purchase Order

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I have a Shoe Store that upgraded from version 1.2 to 2.0 SP4. After the upgrade, when adding a matrix item to a purchase order, the matrix dimensions show with the full sizes first, followed by the half sizes. For example:

4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 4.5, 5.5, 6.5, 7.5, 8.5

Before, it would show like this:

4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6, 6.5, 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5

Any new items added display in the correct order (the way it was before) but all of the existing items show in this order. I have checked under the matrix item and they show in the correct order on the components screen here. I queried the item components table and they show in the correct order here as well. I cannot tell why it is ordering it this way.

This customer of mine used to be able to update their quantities in seconds because the order matched their receiving sheets. Now they have to carefully add the whole sizes first, then go back and add the half sizes. It takes them much longer.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks,

    Hello Andy,

When I tried to reproduce this issue, I was unable to.  Can you please explain the steps you take to do this?

Does this happen to a new matrix item that you create after the upgrade?

    Best Wishes,

    Shawn with Microsoft Retail Support.
