Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi Experts ,

I can't find any documentation on this subject:

I have a custom entity  "account Team" only accessible from the Account Form ,

1- if i put a subgrid of the custom entity  in the Acount Form: i can created a new record of this custom entity

2- if i go to the navigation  : to open the associated view : i can't find the command ?"New "

This is no the case for the opportunity : i can asscociate an opportuntity to an account , by going to navigation "Opportunities" . i cna see the button "new " there .

What entites are enabled to be created in Mobile - offline drafts ?? is there a list of specific entities ?

is there a limitation when it comes to custom entities ??

Hi Wayne , thank you for your answer . The custom entity is enabled for "mobile" and "offline" and it's not marked for "read-only" .

I am using "offline draft mode" , which is the default behaviour , so i am not using the full offline  mode . Therfore i don't see the point of defining profiles as my understanding is that a profile will be needed when activating the organization for full offline mode . So a local db will be on the user phone , and we can define syncing filters ...,..

I am using the "draft mode" . my question was why i can create a record form the sub-grid and not when going to the associated view .

You need to define what entities are available in offline, and not read-only.  Navigate to your entity in the solution you created the custom entity.  On the main entity page, scroll to the bottom, and make sure "enable for mobile" and "enable for mobile offline" are both checked (likely are, but just to be sure).

then navigate to your Mobile Offline Profiles and open the one that your users are assigned to (which is likely the only one).  You can either check on your parent Account settings to make sure child records are offline, or you can explicitly add a standalone profile for your custom entity.

Publish those changes, reload the mobile app, and you should be able to create your custom entity offline.
