Dynamics CRM 365 Server Installation

Posted on by 5

Good morning, everybody,
I want to install Dynamics CRM 365 using an alias SQL Server so that my Dynamics connects to the DB on another server.
When I use the alias, the server on which I install Dynamics is not able to find the server on which the DB is located. (When I use the non server and not the alias everything works)
Do you have a solution please.

    Hello,

Thanks for reaching Dynamics community forum. Unfortunately, the use of SQL alias or CNAMEs instead of the physical server name of the SQL is not supported.

You will hit this exception even though CNAMEs/SQL alias configurations would be accurate with all the necessary permissions required for the installing user along with the CRM services ::
