New User for 365

I need to add a new user that can only view the warehouse items.  i do not want him to be able to see any of the financials or able to do any journals.

I have been told that he needs to have User Role 365 Basic to be added, yet if we do that, he can search for the Chart of Accounts, Trial balance, etc.

Does anyone know how to do this?

    The user should be able to access those as long as he is part of the role based security group.

    The best way to do this for your new user is to delegate the role-based security: docs.microsoft.com/.../role-based-security

    You can follow this.

    Also, you can modify existing permissions as well and if you want to check what all permissions the user has then you need to goto effective permissions tab.
