Tracked Emails with Ticket Numbers

Hi,

My Company tracks numerous emails every day and it would be extremely helpful if it was an option to have a tracking or ticket number on the subject line of the emails.

I have been notified this functionality has been removed which is really unhelpful as it would be a great use for customer services.

Is anyone aware how we can use this functionality in CRM or has it been removed? 

Any Alternative options?
