Excel Add-In: failed to retrieve the enhanced server configuration (on-premises)

Hello,

In a new sandbox environment (Dynamics 365 FO on--premises) the Excel Add-In does not connect to the environment. It fails with the error "failed to retrieve the enhanced server configuration".

The user I logged in has the System Administrator role and I made sure that

- the office-app-parameters in Dynamics are initialized

- the URL of the data connector works ("<FQDN>/namespaces/AXSF/OfficeApps/Applets/ExcelDataConnector/Excel.html").

- the environment-URL in the Excel Add-In is filled in

I've seen the "failed to retrieve the server configuration" before, but never the "failed to retrieve the ENHANCED server configuration".

Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Tino,

Have you check the version of your excel? The Office Add-ins support Excel 2016 with the latest updates.
