How to capture generated revenue for Assets Leased to Customers in D365 F&O

Hi Pioneers,

Hope everyone is doing well !!

I have requirement where my client generating a revenue for the Asset leased to Customers and should record the transaction on financial side in D365.

From D365 point of view it supports the Asset leasing module on the Vendor side where we can take asset on Lease from Vendor and pay the lease amount for the asset.

But my requirement is Customer side, where a business is Leasing its Assets to Customers and generating a revenue so how we will record this process in D365.

Kindly assist me on this with your valuable inputs.

Hi,

There is no function to specifically cater asset leased revenue, the asset leasing for vendor side.

You can consider using subscription billing module to cater this in d365.

As I understood based on your response - I should enable the Subscription billing module under feature mgt to cater a solution for Revenue on Leased assets to Customers.

Let me check with my client as they do have requirement on Revenue billing (yet to discuss more on this with client) as I am not familiar whether to use Revenue recognition module or Subscription billing module as a solution & also not sure simultaneously can we enable and use both Revenue recognition & Subscription modules if needed under feature mgt.

Hi,

Please note Revenue recognization module is not anymore in D365 F&O as that is depricated, the concept Rev Rec is managed by Subscription Billing Module only.
