Workflow Check Condition Question

Posted on by 110

Hello,

I have a workflow that sends email and sms to customer(account) if the case is resolved. I wanted to add additional "Check Condition" where the workflow sends email and sms if and only if the customer(account) for this case has a primary contact because not all the accounts in the system have primary contacts. How can this be achieved using the workflow?

    HI Ashraf,

Could you not check if the Customer (Account) Primary Contact Contains Data:

The primary entity for the workflow I am working on is "Case". If you open the drop down list and check the "Related Entities" values for the "If" condition, you will not come across "Account (Primary Contact)". You could see "Account (Contact)" but not "Account (Primary Contact)". That is the problem I am facing

    Hi Ashraf,

This is very much possible using OOB CRM. Please follow below steps:

What I mean is there is no second level of checking after searching for the contacts to determine the primary contact out of them

    RE: Workflow Check Condition Question

There is no record for "Primary Contact" when I check for the "Related Entities" of a case from the drop down list of the entities. I could select the contacts but that does not solve the problem because only primary contacts should be checked for this workflow

    Hi,

there you should find your answer: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn531057.aspx

i.e. just add an if condition before sending the email/sms.
