OData query filter for Dynamics 365 using XrmServiceToolkit or SDK Libraries

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi Experts,

Below is my requirement and could someone point me in the right direction how to achieve this in a better way. Thanks for your help in advance.

Req: I have a boolean field named as 'Unknown Lead' on the Business Process Flow and Lead field as a lookup on the form.

  • If user sets the boolean field as YES which means unknown lead so I should populate the 'Unknown' Lead record into the lookup field of Lead which is on the form.
  • If user sets the boolean field as No then I should leave the lookup field as blank and the default value for boolean field is NO.

Also please suggest the better way to achieve this because I am on Dynamics 365. How I can reference the libraries.

    Explore the Business Rule you will find the answer. (joman had given you the answer)

    Go and try what are the actions you can set please.

    Customization=>Entity=>Business Rule

    Hi,

    Thank you for answering my query and could you please tell me how I can clear the value if the Boolean value is NO. Also I am hiding some sections based on the boolean value.

    You can do it by a "business rule" on a form and, as I understand, you don't need to make oData requests.

    If bool cheeked, you need to place 'Unknown' value to lookup

    else, if lookup is 'Unknown' you need to clear a value.
