R2 is getting out of mainstream support next week, so I second Ludwig's suggestion above.
In AX 2012 R3 it is indeed a RunBaseBatch class, thus batchable.
public class LedgerAllocationRequest extends RunBaseBatch
Your developers need to compare changes between objects in R2 and R3 (maybe in a demo environment deployed on your LifeCycle Services project), and backport the batch changes.

Many thanks for sharing this screenprint.
In Ax2012 R3 there is a separate (new) batch processing tab available in this form.
Can you ask a developer to 'downgrade' this functionality and modify the form that batch processing is allowed or - probably even better - is there a chance that you upgrade to a newer R3 version?

Doesn't your 'process allocation request' form have a tab denominated 'batch'?
I currently do not have an old R2 system available and would expect that the form looks identical to what we have in R3.
