Relink Power platform integration in Sandbox tier-2 and Production environments

We have F&O UAT and PROD environments linked with dataverse when those environments were created couple years ago. Later on, customer started to use D365 Sales and now we should relink FO environments to use the same dataverse as Sales environments. Is it so that you can't change the link without deleting and recreating Sandbox environment? And can MS support handle the relink for production environment?
