Not sure what to put for server name or port for the email for workflow portion. This is all on my laptop.
Also my server name is CLE-RNUSBAUM. I followed all the defaults when installing web services. I put this for my server name under email actions and port 48620. I found a document online on how to make sure web services is working and everything seems fine. All services are running. Yet when I click test email action it fails.

The server name is your computer name - not the SQL server instance.

Ok so you are in GP. So in the Outgoing Mail server SMTP settings this is information that the person who is in charge of your Exchange would know. So again I ask who in your company has this information that can help you with this? No one on here is going to know what to put in there because it is different per company.
I am installing this on my laptop. I don't even have sharepoint and will not be able to get it
in GP. Under Tools>setup>System>workflow setup
Are you talking in SharePoint Rachel or within GP? These are two completely different processes of setting up Workflow.
under workflow setup I was trying to enable email actions. it is asking for the gp web services server
Then why are you installing Web Services? If you are setting up Workflow via SharePoint you need Web Services, not within the application. Remember that there are only a few Workflow types available in R2 within GP.

Are you talking about setting up the SMTP settings in SharePoint? If so you probably want to post this in their forums. This is all exchange information that someone needs to know to put in there. Do you have a DBA that knows this?
