How can I run a fixed asset report in business central for Master cards only?

ReportReport

Hi

I would like to run a report for am Master cards displaying the list of Main Asset Components including book values.
One main asset cards shows many main asset components cards.

How can I see the report showing each main asset has how many main asset component cards?
Also, would it be possible to  get a remaining book value in the same format report?

I would appreciate if you could share any thought.
I have the same question (0)

Did you try running the FA Book Value Report with the Filter Main Asset selection only?
Also for more dynamic creation you try Analyze Fixed Asset under Report section and see if this helps.

Here is a list of all the Fixed Asset Reports in Business Central: Fixed assets reports - Business Central | Microsoft Learn

When you run most reports or set up filters you can specify if its a main asset or component or what main asset the component is part of:

If none of those reports meet your needs you can try to build your own analysis view in the FA Ledger Entries page or even look at a tool like Power BI.

    Hopefully that helps.

    Hello,
You can see this from the Main Asset Statistics page: open the main fixed asset card, then go to Related > Main Asset > Main Asset Statistics; this page shows the number of component assets, total acquisition cost, depreciation, and book value for that main asset. If you need it as a printable/exportable report showing main asset + component count + remaining book value in one format, the standard Fixed Asset Book Value 01/02 reports can show book values, but they are not designed as a full “main asset with component count” report, so you would normally need either an Excel layout/custom report or export the data and summarize it in Excel/Power BI.

    Hi Jiyoun,
the count part and the book value part don't really come together in one standard report as far as I know. The Main Asset Components page shows the component FAs under each master and you can see how many sit there, search it in Tell Me, but that's a page, not a printable count report. For the values, Fixed Asset - Book Value 01 or 02 give you book and remaining value, you'd filter down to the components.

To get all three in one layout — master, number of components, and remaining book value per master — that's a small custom report or an analysis on top of the FA data, standard doesn't ship that exact view. Whether you can squeeze the component count into a book value report I wouldn't promise, depends on version, so test on yours.

Glad to help - follow up if anything is unclear.
