Background process timing

Posted on by

In an effort to improve performance with our Dynamics 365 custom application, I'm analyzing my workflows for opportunities to run asynchronously.  Is there an "expected" time within which background processes will run?

BTW, I've tried searching but the search feature on this forum does not appear to be working with Chrome.

    RE: Background process timing

    Hi Debra,

     you can check this:

    community.dynamics.com/.../222018

I'm not sure if 5 seconds mentioned there mean that all background workflows will start in up to 5 seconds after a trigger condition occurs.. It may also depend on the server load, I guess (if lots of them have to start, they'll probably be queued)
