I am posting a payment to a vendor- from legal entity A selecting Invoice of vendor from legal entity B.

I have marked the correct invoice for settlement but in company A- I cannot see the attachment of Invoice. Is there any feature or functionality to enable attachments global while posting this kind of intercompany transaction.

I'm not aware of standard functionality to pass attachments through the intercompany processes

There is no std way to achieve this. Document handling stores link between attachment and transaction and As the invoice transactions are company based and not global hence the attahcement to vend invoice in company A, will not be visible in Company B.

Also, I cant think of a simple customization for this.

OOB the only solution is to jump in the legal entity B, and open the attachement from there.

We can achieve this through cutomization. once the transaction is done, we can move the attachment from one company to another company.

There is no standard way in D365 for intercompany process however you can opt for customization as Subra suggested.
