Cash Accounts in separate currencies

Posted on by
Hi all,

I have recently joined a new organisation, building out its international accounting function. The organisation uses SparkRock, built on Business Central. Can cash accounts be kept in a currency different than the general ledger?

As far as I have been able to find, I can keep Bank accounts, vendors and customers in different currencies, but for cash and similar types of accounts, this does not seem to be the case?

Does anyone in this forum use Business Central internationally, and if yes, is there a separate General Ledger for each currency? And how are you going about consolidating?

Thanks,
Per

Not fully sure how are You using Cash accounts, but an alternative would be just to use Bank Accounts for it. You can number them differently from normal Bank Accounts and have a separate Posting Groups so the amounts land in needed G/Ls.
